Soon after spying this photo of Alexa Chung in this spacey dress on the inter-webs, I stumbled upon this tutorial for DIY Cosmic Shoes on Refinery29 by Goth Reform School Girl and decided that I needed to give it a shot.
I purchased a pair of cheap canvas shoes from Urban Outfitters and got some Acrylic Craft Paint from Hobby Lobby (I used True Red, Christmas Green, Black, White, Royal Fuchsia, Purple Glitter paint and a touch of Aquamarine Blue and Lemon Yellow) and I went to town. I watered down my paint when applying and it took several coats to get the desired results.
I think that they turned out amazing and I can't wait to wear them out on the town!
